The sale’s average bull price reached $9,547, with the top-selling Angus bull, Lot 1, 3String Jameson 4143, selling for $19,000 to a repeat commercial customer. Based on available records, it is believed to be the highest-selling bull in 3 String Cattle Co. history.

Record Demand Fueled by Basin Jameson Sire Group

A defining story of this year’s sale was the performance of the Basin Jameson 1076 sire group. Thirty-three paternal brothers sired by Basin Jameson 1076 were offered, and the group produced every one of the sale’s high sellers, averaging $2,000 above the overall sale average. The consistency and depth of this sire group drew strong competitive bidding from both in-person and online buyers.

Sale results came in nearly 17 percent above last year’s average, with 17 more bulls offered and sold compared to the prior year. Those figures align with broader regional and national market trends, where many sales have posted increases of 10 to 20 percent, though most operations are moving a similar volume of bulls.
