Designed with homeowners and contractors in mind, the Comfort app is a replacement for kumo cloud ® and offers numerous improvements. The app is compatible with existing Mitsubishi Electric HVAC solutions and new systems with built-in Wi-Fi.

The Comfort app features intuitive programming options, including seasonal scheduling, an innovation designed based on user feedback. This convenient functionality allows homeowners to create separate schedules for summer and winter, easily switching between them when the weather changes. The app also includes Comfort Connect, a feature that links homeowners to their preferred HVAC contractor. When a contractor sets up the app for a customer, the platform connects both parties, making it simpler for the homeowner to initiate a service request, facilitating communication between the contractor and customer.

The app was designed for ease of on-site set up so the installing contractor can quickly connect systems to Wi-Fi. In a home with multi-zone systems, the Comfort app allows multiple indoor units to be connected simultaneously.

“Being on the frontlines with homeowners and contractors gave us invaluable insight into what they wanted in the app and what customers appreciate in next-generation smart controls,” said Charles Miltiades, Senior Director of Controls, Experience & Integration at METUS. “We are already working on the next iteration and integrating more behavioral and environmental data to optimize performance further.”
