VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec 5, 2025--
The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) announced today that it will be the first aircraft maintenance trade school featured on Season 16 of Amazon Prime Video’s hit series The College Tour. Filming begins December 8, 2025, marking a meaningful milestone for AIM and reflecting the rising national momentum behind aviation maintenance careers and skilled trades education.
Production will take place at AIM’s Hasbrouck Heights campus, highlighting the school’s immersive, hands-on training environment, from aircraft hangars to advanced training labs, that has made AIM one of the largest accredited networks of aviation maintenance technician schools in the country. Following production, the episode is expected to premiere in June 2026 on Amazon Prime Video and The College Tour platforms, reaching an audience of millions.
The United States continues to face a critical shortage of aviation maintenance professionals. AIM’s inclusion in The College Tour underscores the growing demand for high-quality, aviation-focused training programs that prepare students for essential, high-wage careers. With 15 campuses across the country, AIM trains the next generation of FAA-aligned aircraft maintenance technicians and partners with leading airlines to build direct pathways into in-demand, high-earning roles.
“We are honored to showcase AIM’s aviation-focused programs on The College Tour,” said Jason Pfaff, Chief Executive Officer of the Aviation Institute of Maintenance. “Students choose AIM because we combine rigorous technical training, hands-on experience, and strong career support to prepare them for high-demand aviation maintenance roles. Our programs are designed in alignment with FAA standards and built to meet the needs of an industry that depends on skilled, mission-critical technicians. With campuses nationwide, we’re proud to help meet the national workforce demand while preparing students for long-term success in aviation.”
Hosted by Emmy-nominated producer and Amazing Race winner Alex Boylan, The College Tour provides an inside look at schools across the country through the perspective of their students and leaders. In AIM’s episode, viewers will hear current students as they share why they chose aviation maintenance, how AIM’s hands-on learning environment shaped their training, and how the program supports a seamless transition from the classroom to the aircraft hangar.
“AIM offers students real-world, hands-on training and a direct path into one of the country’s most essential and high-demand career fields,” said Alex Boylan, host of The College Tour. “Aviation maintenance is full of opportunity, and it’s inspiring to see more students exploring career-focused programs that open the door to stable and meaningful work. This episode will give viewers a true look at what’s possible at AIM.”
