Commentary on Trump Halting All Business until SAVE America Act is passed
Hugh Hewitt / Tuesday, July 14

Anybody with any sense saw it coming from the moment the “ceasefire” came into place. It was good to hear the president’s aggressive tone in his interview with the host yesterday. I need to pull on several strings to make the point I think emerged yesterday, so let’s dive in.. . .

Reuters published a photograph taken during the weekend of America’s 250th birthday celebration. It depicted a young black woman seated by herself on a packed D.C. Metro train. Standing and sitting around her were white men wearing white masks. They belong to a white nationalist organization called Patriot Front, a group involved in the violent 2017 Charlottesville, Virginia, rally that resulted in the death of a woman. The intimidating-looking men reportedly said nothing to the woman and never threatened her, and she remained composed.

The host also touches on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the US and Iran, which he believes was a mistake from the beginning. He argues that the US should not have lifted the naval blockade and should not have given Iran the green light to sell oil on the open market. The speaker also shares his thoughts on the FIFA red card controversy, using it as a metaphor for the need for American exceptionalism in international relations. He believes that the US should not be afraid to stand up for what's right, even if it means going against the status quo.
