Happy Friday. We are officially halfway through January, and I’m craving comfort during this long, cold month. Specifically, i’m craving Italian comfort. So this week I hope you’ll lock in with me for a few recipes that are a little more involved and time-consuming—I promise you won’t be disappointed with the end result.

Nothing says comfort to me like my mother’s homemade tomato sauce, sausage, meatballs, and stuffed shells. Sometimes I make them around the holidays, but since I didn’t this year, they’re going to be my weekend project. The sauce recipe makes quite a bit, so use the largest pot you have. You can definitely get a few rounds of spaghetti and meatballs out of it, and then use some of the sauce for your stuffed shells. Make garlic bread recipe to go with it, and enjoy!
