NASHVILLE, Tenn.
Green Rain: Inspiring Short Stories from the Unique Perspective of a Humorist, the debut title from GRAMMY®-nominated recording artist and bestselling comedian Tim Lovelace, bows July 14 from Pathway Press. A collection of 50 anecdotes brimming with wit and wisdom, the book features a foreword from author and speaker Anne Beiler, founder of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels.

Inspired by Lovelace’s popular Moments that Motivate podcast and nationally syndicated radio series, Green Rain piques instant curiosity with such chapter titles as “Lightsaber Duel of the Century,” “The Tale of the Traveling Tomato,” and “How to Train a Squirrel.” Delivering equal measures of lighthearted amusement and earnest encouragement, Lovelace’s ultimate goal is to bring joy, hope, and perspective— one story at a time.

“The truth is, I’m not here to teach you how to live,” he explains. “Life is already doing that; daily, relentlessly, without asking permission. This book is a collection of life moments. My hope is that you are inspired to embrace the hidden treasures and opportunities that await us every day; moments to encourage others, love deeply, and live fully.”

“I’ve had the privilege of listening to Tim Lovelace perform his comedy act, and the laughter comes straight from my gut,” writes Beiler in the book’s foreword. “Only God knows laughter is as important as good medicine is for the healing of our bodies. The stories in this book will uplift your spirit and provide medicine for your soul. …It feels like a collection of practical ‘how-to’s’ for the ‘ought-to’s’ in our daily lives.”

Green Rain arrives on the heels of Lovelace’s acclaimed January StowTown Records set, On a Different Note. Showcasing his signature piano stylings across a thoughtfully curated selection of American classics and beloved sacred favorites, the instrumental project includes Lovelace’s renditions of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” and “This is My Father’s World,” among others, as well as the standout “Celebration of America Medley,” a tapestry of such patriotic stalwarts as “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “Shenandoah,” “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee,” “America The Beautiful,” and “God Bless America.”
