DLA, LLC Hires First Private Equity-Focused Partner, James Hines

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 2025--

DLA, LLC (DLA), a leading accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of James (Jim) Hines as Partner, Private Equity Vertical. In his new role, Jim’s responsibilities will include working with the firm’s private equity clients to coordinate DLA’s services to enhance the operational and organizational improvement of their portfolio companies and their internal operations. Jim will also oversee the firm’s relationships with its existing private equity client base and their portfolio businesses.

Jim has over 20 years of experience in private equity, having most recently served as an Operating Advisor at Stone Goff Partners, a middle-market private equity firm investing in professional services businesses. At Stone Goff, Jim worked closely with the firm’s investment teams, as well as its portfolio company CEOs and CROs to scale sales functionality.

Before Stone Goff, Jim was a Managing Director at a leading national business advisory firm, where he was responsible for private equity relationships for the company’s New York and Northeast markets.
