Helix Traffic Solutions Announces Strategic Acquisition of Highway Safety Services

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 4, 2025--

Helix Traffic Solutions (“Helix”), a leading provider of traffic safety solutions throughout the United States, has announced its strategic acquisition of Highway Safety Services, based in Lafayette, Indiana. The acquisition extends Helix’s footprint into the attractive traffic safety market in Indiana, comprised of roadway contractors, utility companies and municipalities. Transaction terms were not disclosed. Helix is majority-owned by Nonantum Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm based in Boston, MA. This is Helix’s 18 th acquisition under Nonantum’s ownership.

Highway Safety Services delivers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions throughout Indiana that includes traffic control, pavement marking, flagging and equipment sales and rentals. The company was founded in 2005 by industry veteran, Mike Madrid. Since its founding, the Company has established itself as the regional authority by providing reliable, high-quality solutions across the traffic safety landscape in Indiana.
