IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 29, 2025--

Phoenix Energy One, LLC ("Phoenix Energy") announces the official closing of the 2025 Phoenix Energy Scholarship application window. This annual $15,000 award continues to attract a highly motivated and talented pool of first-year college students pursuing careers in the oil and gas industry. With dozens of strong submissions received, the 2025 cycle reinforces the company’s commitment to investing in the next generation of energy leaders.

The recipient of this year’s scholarship will be announced in August 2025.

Founded by Adam Ferrari, CEO of Phoenix Energy, the scholarship aims to support students who are passionate about shaping the future of domestic energy through careers in petroleum engineering, geology, energy finance, or related disciplines. The program reflects Phoenix Energy’s dual commitment to industry innovation and responsible resource development.

“The caliber of students who applied this year gives me great hope for the future of the energy industry,” said Adam Ferrari. “These individuals are not only academically accomplished, but also thoughtful about how the oil and gas industry can evolve to meet global challenges. That’s exactly the kind of leadership we want to cultivate.”

Each applicant was evaluated on academic performance, a written essay, and a demonstrated interest in advancing the energy sector through technical innovation, environmental stewardship, or community impact. The selection committee is currently reviewing submissions, and the 2025 award recipient will be named in the coming weeks.

Last year’s winner, Arnoldo Montanez of the Colorado School of Mines, exemplified the spirit of the scholarship through his visionary perspective on the energy sector’s potential. In his application, Montanez described oil and gas as “the cornerstone of our modern civilization,” and called for the industry to balance efficiency with social responsibility.

“Arnoldo’s insights, and his commitment to progress within the energy space, set a powerful example,” Ferrari added. “We look forward to recognizing another outstanding student who will carry that legacy forward.”

The Phoenix Energy Scholarship is one of three initiatives under Phoenix Energy’s FUEL Program —Fostering Unity, Empowering Leadership—which reflects the company’s broader philanthropic mission to empower future innovators, support education, and promote sustainable, long-term growth in U.S. energy production.
