SEBRING, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man is accused of fatally shooting a black bear and a bear cub. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Tuesday that the 43-year-old man shot the bears on Oct. 26 in a Sebring neighborhood. Wildlife officials say he faces four charges. The state attorney’s office is prosecuting the case. Col. Roger Young called the shooting of the bears “unacceptable." Biologists with the agency were able to trap one uninjured bear cub that day and release it in a more suitable habitat. They saw another cub in the area but were not able to capture it.
