ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Highway Patrol says a sheriff’s deputy in a marked patrol car struck and killed a woman who was crossing a road in central Florida. The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Sunday. The Seminole County Sheriff's deputy hit the woman, who in the road talking to another pedestrian. Lt. Kim Montes says the 28-year-old deputy performed CPR on the woman until first responders arrived. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are investigating the crash.
