5 Cuban men rescued near Florida coast after 16 days at sea

MIAMI (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued five Cuban men near Florida's southeast coast who said they had been floating at sea in a small raft for 16 days after leaving their island. The agency shared images of the men in the makeshift vessel wrapped with a black tube and a piece of white cloth that appears to be have been used to sail the raft. On Friday, the Coast Guard repatriated seven Cubans who had been at sea for six days when they were caught navigating toward Florida in a small boat without a motor.
