One of oldest Pearl Harbor survivor buried at Arlington

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — One of the oldest survivors of the Pearl Harbor attack has been buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Florida resident Joseph Iscovitz was 103-year-old when he died last year. Monday's ceremony was held at Fort Myer Chapel, followed by the DC burial that his son Doug Iscovitz called “a celebration of a life lived to the fullest.” The younger Iscovitz says his father could see the faces of the Japanese pilots as they dropped bombs around the naval base near Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1941. Joseph Iscovitz was a supply sergeant who oversaw weapons and helped put barbed wire along Waikiki Beach.
