MIAMI (AP) — MIAMI (AP) — Opko Health Inc. (OPK) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $24.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Miami-based company said it had profit of 3 cents.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 10 cents per share.

The holding company with investments in pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies posted revenue of $173.6 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $181.3 million.
