Police: 3 students charged with threatening middle school

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) — Officials say three students at a South Florida junior high school have been arrested and charged with making threats on social media to shoot up their school. Pembroke Pines police arrested the three Silver Trail Middle School students on Sunday. Officials identified the students as two boys and one girl, all 12 years old. Investigators located the students after a school staff member notified police about a Snapchat conversation that contained threatening messages concerning the school.
