OCALA, Fla. (AP) β Officials say a federal prison guard in Florida has been accused of participating in a scheme to smuggle drugs into a facility. A federal grand jury in Ocala returned an indictment last week against Wayne Grant Jr., whoβs charged with receipt of a bribe by a public official. He faces up to 15 years in federal prison. According to an indictment, Grant worked as a correctional officer at Coleman Federal Correctional Complex in Sumter County. Prosecutors say Grant agreed to smuggle methamphetamine into the prison for an inmate in exchange for money in December. Itβs unclear whether Grant has an attorney.
