Florida Atlantic's Caleb Pendleton came out of the weekend as the toast of college baseball. The freshman catcher became the eighth Division I player to hit two grand slams in one inning and first to do it in the first two plate appearances of his career. Pendleton's feat came in the second inning Saturday against Central Florida. He said he didn’t know he would be in the lineup until he arrived at the ballpark. Pendleton did not hit a home run as a senior in high school, and he had only one as a junior.
