ATLANTA (AP) — Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Tanner Banks was reinstated from the 60-day injured list before their game Sunday at the Atlanta Braves.

Banks landed on the injured list on July 9 with a left forearm strain. Banks, 34, is 0-4 with a 7.14 ERA in 28 games. He has allowed 23 earned runs in 29 innings.

Right-hander Grant Holman was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley a day after allowing five unearned runs while recording one out in his major league debut in Saturday's 12-2 loss to the Braves.

Infielder Christian Cairo was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Banks.
