Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Senator Rick Scott.

Monday, July 13, 2026

Rick Scott was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018 and is currently serving his second term representing the state of Florida. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Rick Scott served two terms as the 45th Governor of Florida, working every day to turn around Florida’s economy and secure the state’s future as the best place for families and businesses to succeed. Rick Scott grew up in public housing in the Midwest as his adoptive father, a World War II veteran and truck driver, and his mother, a store clerk, struggled to financially support their family. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Anne, Rick Scott joined the Navy, where he served active duty as a radar man aboard the USS Glover. He used the G.I. Bill to attend the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and eventually opened his first business – a donut shop. Rick Scott went on to run the world’s largest healthcare company and continues to fight every day so families across the state can have the same opportunities he had to live the American dream.

Rick Scott knows firsthand that a good paying job is one of the most important things for a family, and following Florida’s economic collapse in 2009, he made the decision to run for governor as a businessman with no political experience. During his term as Governor, he successfully championed more than $10 billion in tax cuts and cut thousands of burdensome regulations that led Florida businesses to create nearly 1.7 million new jobs. Under his leadership, the unemployment rate dropped from 11 percent to 3.3 percent, Florida paid down $10 billion in state debt, and record investments were made in what matters most to Floridians – education, the environment, and public safety.

Rick Scott and his wife, Anne, have been married for over 50 years and have two daughters, Allison and Jordan, six grandsons, Auguste, Quinton, Sebastian, Eli, Louie and Jude, and one granddaughter, Zelda Ann.

Live, Work, Shop and Play: F1 Racing.

Tuesday, May 26, 2026

Formula One (F1) is the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel, single-seater formula racing cars run by Formula One Group and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The FIA Formula One World Championship has been one of the world's premier forms of motorsport since its inaugural running in 1950 and is often considered to be the pinnacle of motorsport. The word formula in the name refers to the set of rules all participant cars must follow. A Formula One season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix. Grands Prix take place in multiple countries and continents on either purpose-built circuits or closed roads.

A points scoring system is used at Grands Prix to determine two annual World Championships: one for the drivers, and one for the constructors—now synonymous with teams. Each driver must hold a valid Super Licence, the highest class of racing licence the FIA issues, and the races must be held on Grade One tracks, the highest grade rating the FIA issues for circuits.

F1 is owned by Liberty Media Corporation, acquired in 2017 for an estimated $8 billion, previously owned by British business magnate Bernie Ecclestone. The new ownership added five Grands Prix to the calendar: Miami, Las Vegas, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Dutch.

Formula One cars are the world's fastest regulated road-course racing cars, owing to high cornering speeds achieved by generating large amounts of aerodynamic downforce, most of which is generated by front and rear wings, as well as underbody tunnels. The cars depend on electronics, aerodynamics, suspension, and tyres. Traction control, launch control, automatic shifting, and other electronic driving aids were first banned in 1994. They were briefly reintroduced in 2001 but were banned once more in 2004 and later 2008.

With the average annual cost of running a team—e.g., designing, building, and maintaining cars; staff payroll; transport—at approximately £193 million as of 2018 (though the cost cap stands at US$215 million), Formula One's financial and political battles are widely reported. The United Kingdom is the hub of Formula One racing, with six out of the eleven teams based there.

Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Blaise Ingoglia.

Monday, May 18, 2026

Meet your Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia

Blaise Ingoglia built his reputation by holding government accountable, long before he held public office. Originally from New York, Blaise moved to Spring Hill, Florida, in 1996 with just $1,600 to his name. He soon found success as a mortgage broker and later founded Hartland Homes, a homebuilding company dedicated to helping working families achieve the dream of homeownership.

Ingoglia’s interest in public service was sparked in 2007 when he noticed local governments “going wild” spending property tax dollars. That frustration led him to launch Government Gone Wild, a viral video series and public seminar campaign aimed at exposing government waste and out-of-control spending. His YouTube channel has garnered nearly 8 million views, helping to spark a broader national conversation about fiscal responsibility.

Over time, Blaise became a respected voice for transparency and common-sense governance, serving in the Florida Senate, representing the 11th district, from 2022 to 2025, and the Florida House of Representatives from 2014 to 2022 in the 35th district, as well as chairman of the Republican Party of Florida from 2015 to 2019. But long before that, he was just a homebuilder with a camcorder, a YouTube channel, and a determination to make sure taxpayer dollars were treated with respect.

And yes, fittingly for someone named Blaise, he now serves as Florida’s State Fire Marshal and works every day to support firefighters in their life-saving missions.

CFO Blaise Ingoglia’s top priority is making Florida more affordable, with a focus on lowering property taxes and reducing insurance costs for hardworking families.

Chief Financial Officer of the State of Florida

Blaise Ingoglia serves as Florida’s Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal, overseeing billions of dollars in taxpayer assets and leading the Florida Department of Financial Services. His role includes managing the state’s finances, rooting out fraud, increasing financial transparency, and supporting first responders across the state.

As CFO, Blaise continues his mission to protect taxpayers by shining a light on government inefficiency and promoting smart budgeting practices. He also oversees Florida’s Division of Unclaimed Property, helping reunite residents with lost funds, and leads the Criminal Investigations Division, which fights insurance fraud, arson, and public assistance abuse.

Whether working to improve financial literacy, strengthen emergency response systems, or increase efficiency in state spending, CFO Ingoglia brings the same passion, energy, and no-nonsense attitude that first put him on the map.

Blaise lives in Spring Hill with his wife, Julie, and their dogs. He is a proud husband, father, entrepreneur, and public servant who believes that good government starts with accountability and a lot of common sense.

State Fire Marshal

The state's CFO also serves as Florida's State Fire Marshal. The Division of State Fire Marshal provides various fire-related training, education and services throughout the state, from assisting local fire departments by conducting consumer education to training citizens at one of the finest fire-training colleges in the state.

Florida Cabinet Member

Florida's CFO serves as one of three constitutionally elected state executives of the Florida Cabinet, which comprises the Chief Financial Officer, the Attorney General, and the Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet serve as a board of directors, or agency heads, governing such matters as the purchase of state lands; clemency matters; state bond, trust and fund management; veterans' affairs; state law enforcement administration; tax collection; power plant and transmission line sitings; and financial and insurance regulation for the state of Florida.
