PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar 26, 2026--
Carnegie Learning, a global leader in AI-driven technology, curriculum, and professional learning solutions for K-12 education, announced today that its 6-12 ELA solution, Lenses on Literature®, received all-green scores in a new report published by EdReports.
EdReports is an independent nonprofit that evaluates instructional materials for their focus, coherence, rigor, and usability. It is a gold-standard leader in helping teachers and administrators identify the highest-quality instructional materials.
Lenses on Literature is designed to engage all students in authentic and rigorous grade-level literacy assignments and experiences and ensure each learner’s success. Built on more than a decade of federally funded research behind the Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC), which produced up to two years of literacy growth in a single school year, Lenses offers equitable access to the knowledge, skills, and competencies learners need to engage with standards-driven tasks and complex texts. Ultimately, students will be set up to succeed as engaged local and global citizens who think critically, read joyfully, and write confidently.
Lenses met EdReports’ expectations in both core ELA gateways:
- Comprehension Through Texts, Questions, and Tasks
- Teacher and Student Supports
In addition, Lenses earned favorable ratings across the four Multilingual Learner Support criteria. Read the report here.
“It’s wonderful to be recognized by EdReports, the organization that districts rely on to validate high quality instructional material,” says Barry Malkin, Carnegie Learning’s CEO. “Districts that implement Lenses can feel confident in their curriculum decision, and teachers can rest assured they have the support they need to do what they do best: bring literature to life. This accomplishment was a company-wide collaborative effort, and we’re beyond excited knowing the impact Lenses will make on student learning across the country.”
“Receiving all-green scores from EdReports affirms the vision behind Lenses on Literature — that every student can engage deeply with rigorous, grade-level texts and meaningful literacy experiences,” said Dr. Suzanne Simons, Carnegie Learning’s Chief Literacy Officer. “The program’s intentional design ensures that all students have the supports they need to succeed with complex texts. This recognition reflects years of research, educator collaboration, and classroom-tested design.”
