ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec 3, 2025--

Operation HOPE, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping low- and moderate-income Americans thrive in an ever-changing economy, today announced the release of the 2025 Annual Report of its AI Ethics Council (AIEC), marking a historic year of moving from conversation to execution in the pursuit of ethical, inclusive artificial intelligence that serves all communities. The report was announced at the Annual Meeting of the Hope Global Forums in Atlanta this week.

Co-chaired by Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman & CEO John Hope Bryant and OpenAI Founder Sam Altman, the AIEC has established Future Literacy™ – the fusion of financial literacy and AI literacy – as the new global standard for economic dignity and digital opportunity in the age of AI.

Key 2025 achievements highlighted in the report include:

  • Establishment of five powerful AIEC committees (Business & Entrepreneurship, Education, Healthcare, Policy/Regulation/Governance, and Employment & Workforce Development) with measurable outcomes and world-class leadership
  • Launch of HOPE AI™ – the grassroots initiative that partners with the nation’s top nonprofit organizations to scale AI coaching to communities across the country through the proven HOPE Inside model
  • Successful inaugural AILP-3 (AI Literacy Pipeline to Prosperity) Summer Institute in partnership with Georgia State University, training nearly 40 high-school students to become AI innovators
  • Addition of three globally influential new board members: H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama (world’s first Minister of AI, UAE), Dean Richard Phillips (Georgia State University), and Hon. Robert Silvers (former DHS Under Secretary)
  • Leadership role in the historic OpenAI–King Estate collaboration that strengthened ethical guardrails around historical figures in generative AI
  • Creation of Future Literacy™ as the unifying framework now guiding all Operation HOPE AI initiatives

“The AI Ethics Council was created to ensure that the promise of artificial intelligence expands dignity, opportunity, and economic freedom for everyone,” said John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Operation HOPE. “Over this last year, with partners across sectors and communities, we’ve proven that we can achieve ethical, inclusive AI for all, and we are excited to continue building on the work so far.”
