Visionaries Kuno and Goodall Rejoin Forces to Bring Evermay, an Embassy for the Future

Two of the brightest visionaries – Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Kate Goodall – have partnered again, this time creating Evermay, an Embassy for the Future, providing neutral ground for dialogue, diplomacy, cultural exchange, and shared imagination about a better future.

While business, media, and public policy often reward short-term outcomes, Evermay is launching a new institutional model: protected, funded space for long-horizon thinkers working 10+ years out. Through residencies, convenings, and public programs, Evermay will bring together scientists, artists, technologists, and thinkers to explore ideas that extend far beyond immediate timelines.

Founded by the leaders behind Halcyon, Dr. Kuno and Ms. Goodall bring proven track records in business and philanthropy.

At a moment when nearly every major institution rewards speed, short-term returns, and disciplinary silos, Evermay is introducing the new Future Fellows Program, building infrastructure for long-horizon thinking. The program will be housed at the historic, four-acre Evermay estate in DC’s Georgetown neighborhood.

Fellows will be selected through an annual open call and internal nominations, with all candidates going through the same application and review process. The application for the first two cohorts is now open and closes May 1. All Fellows are required to participate in the first three weeks of the residency. In addition to dedicated time and space to develop their forward-thinking, visionary projects, each Fellow will produce one public-facing presentation during their residency (such as a podcast, exhibition, performance, or similar format).

The Future Fellows Program: Evermay’s Future Fellows Program will convene four to six thinkers, creators, and builders to explore ideas that could shape the world and meet its needs 10 years from now. The program is designed for: ideas that do not yet have a name, questions too big for existing institutions, cross-pollination between disciplines, cultures, and worldviews, and ethical reflection alongside radical imagination.
