Trump: U.S. Will Destroy A Bridge Or Power Plant For Each Iranian Attack In Strait Of Hormuz

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the U.S. will destroy one bridge or power plant each time Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump’s latest threat on Wednesday to target civilian infrastructure came as the unpopular war spirals with no clear offramp, threatening further worldwide economic disruption. Both sides have dug in on their dispute over the strait, a crucial waterway for global energy that remains largely closed because of Iranian attacks. The U.S. carried out another wave of strikes on Iran overnight into Wednesday, and air defenses opened fire over the capital, Tehran. Iran launched a missile attack on a Jordanian city on Israel’s doorstep, and alerts were issued in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

National Guard Deploys As Flash Floods In West Virginia Inundate Homes And Businesses

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Torrential rains in West Virginia have caused flash flooding that inundated homes and businesses. Authorities say the floods washed out bridges and led to numerous water rescues in portions of the state. West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey declared a state of emergency for all 55 counties Tuesday night. Forecasters said up to 7 inches of rain fell in some places. No deaths were immediately reported. Morrisey sent 100 National Guard members to the hardest-hit areas in the state's north, with an additional 200 members set to arrive late Wednesday morning. The rains were part of wide-ranging storms that produced reports of tornadoes in several states.

Trump Approves Nuclear Agreement That Allows Saudi Arabia To Enrich Uranium

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is expected to sign an agreement with Saudi Arabia that could potentially provide the kingdom with uranium enrichment capability for its civilian nuclear program. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says any deal signed by the U.S. would not lead to proliferation. Two people familiar with the matter have confirmed the agreement to The Associated Press. The deal could allow for the building of a uranium enrichment facility in Saudi Arabia following a joint U.S.-Saudi study. The two people, who were not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity, said the agreement could be announced as soon as Wednesday.

Mamdani’s Failed Arrest of Netanyahu

Mamdani’s Failed Arrest of Netanyahu

Mamdani Is a Clown For Trying To Arrest Netanyahu

The debate over whether Ugandan immigrant Zoram Mamdani would arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York City has sparked significant controversy. Mamdani, who argued that Netanyahu is a war criminal responsible for the deaths of thousands of Palestinians, claimed he was exploring legal options to enforce an International Criminal Court arrest warrant. However, President Trump explicitly stated that no such arrest would occur in the United States. Mamdani released a video asserting that Netanyahu should be arrested and tried, but he concluded that New York City lacks the legal authority to do so. Critics, including commentators on Salem News Channel, dismissed Mamdani’s efforts as a “kangaroo court” lacking jurisdiction, highlighting the broader political implications and the contentious nature of the debate. Trump’s direct involvement and endorsement of Netanyahu further complicate the situation, revealing deeper political tensions and differing perspectives on international law and sovereignty.

Trump Attends Return Of U.S. Soldiers Killed In Iran War

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Delaware, July 22 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump attended a ceremony for four U.S. service members who returned to American soil in flag-draped caskets on Wednesday after being killed in Iranian attacks in the Middle East. The ceremony, known as a "dignified transfer" of the bodies, comes amid growing frustration with the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran. The war has cost U.S. taxpayers at least $37.5 billion, has led to the deaths of 18 U.S. service members and injured more than 450 troops. It has killed thousands of Iranians. Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers have raised questions about the war, which has boosted global oil prices and shows no signs of ending. Since the war started in February, Trump has offered differing objectives for the war. The U.S. president traveled to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware for the ceremony. "We're going to honor them. For me it's one of the hardest things to do as a president. But it has to be done," Trump said before leaving for the ceremony. Asked what he would tell the families of the fallen, Trump said: "All I'm going to say is, we love you. We love your child, and that's what they are to them. They're their children. There's no games, no nothing." U.S. presidents, vice presidents and dignitaries regularly attend the solemn transfer ceremonies at Dover — home of the largest U.S. military mortuary — during times of war or conflict. The three U.S. service members killed when an Iranian missile hit their sleeping barracks at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan on Friday were First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, 25, Sergeant Angel S. Rampersad, 28, and Private Isabella Gonzales, 19. All three were assigned to U.S. Army air defense brigades. The fourth death, of Sergeant Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, occurred on Sunday in a separate incident in Erbil, Iraq, during a controlled detonation of an attack drone. The Pentagon said on Monday that 100 service members have been injured since July 7 and 96% have returned to duty. Four in five Americans expect ‌the war to drag on for an extended period, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll conducted this month. Some 37% of respondents approved of U.S. military strikes against Iran. Trump's approval rating has hovered near the lowest levels of his political career since the conflict began, with Republican strategists warning that rising living costs have neutralized the political benefits of his tax cuts. Higher gas prices and cost-of-living concerns pose a political risk to Trump's Republican Party ahead of November's midterm elections, in which it risks losing its House majority and possibly its control of the Senate.
