Linda kicks things off as the episode’s accidental celebrity: a Stroll magazine cover turned into a mini soap opera when the photos came back… let’s call them “uncooperative.” With no editing allowed, she solved it the mom-way: bought a few shots from the freelancer, edited those, and made the internet think everything was fabulous.

From there, the duo riffs on photo editing etiquette and “family photo physics” (Kevin’s take: mom’s the center, everyone else is supporting cast). Then they detour into modern attention spans—where TikTok apparently demands 5–10 second brilliance or it swipes you into oblivion.

Next up: the headline-grabber—hantavirus. Linda frames it as rare and typically linked to rodent waste exposure, and they emphasize that experts they’ve followed say it’s not likely to become a pandemic because it doesn’t spread easily person-to-person. They also unpack a cruise/expedition itinerary involving Ushuaia, Antarctica, and remote South Atlantic islands, plus a chain of events involving infected passengers.

Kevin adds a broader point about how post-COVID distrust shapes how people react to scary health news, saying he prefers hearing directly from medical professionals. Both land on a practical travel-world mantra: be aware, wash hands, don’t panic, and maybe skip ultra-remote “weird places = weird stuff” itineraries if you’re risk-averse.

Finally, the fun future stuff: Kevin geeks out over NYC air taxis (quick hops to/from airports), while Linda says “absolutely not” because helicopters + small aircraft = nope. They wrap with bargain hunting—Southwest (notably tied to Disney talk) popping up with deals allegedly as low as $38 round trip—and a reminder that seats are shrinking for the Italy 2026 listener trip.
