QuestionQuestion

How far in advance should I make a reservation to get the best deal on a cruise?

AnswerAnswer

Excellent question, Tony!

Timing for "the best deal" is always tricky. Cruise companies want you to book early and direct with them. At the same time, big travel agencies buy cabins in bulk at a huge discount and they pass some of those savings on to you.

So, here’s what I would do. Look into which two cruise lines appear to suit your needs. Call them directly and ask them how to get their best deal.

I’d also select two cruise travel advisors and ask them the same question about price. ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisors) can help you find a qualified cruise advisor for free. Using an advisor is also at no cost to you.

Lastly, I encourage you to check out my article on the Best Time of The Year to Cruise.

I hope you find this helpful.

Happy travels!
