Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma.

Tuesday, May 12, 2026

Dennis Lemma was sworn in as Seminole County’s 10th Sheriff in 2017 and was subsequently re-elected in 2020 and 2024. As the county’s chief law enforcement officer, Sheriff Lemma leads a workforce of more than 1,400 employees and manages an annual budget of nearly $200 million.

Sheriff Lemma began his career with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in 1992 as a correctional officer. He later became a deputy sheriff and, over the course of more than three decades, has served in virtually every position within the agency. During his career, he served as the agency’s primary spokesperson and rose through the ranks of sergeant, lieutenant, captain, major, and chief deputy before being elected Sheriff.

Sheriff Lemma has been a leading voice in Florida’s response to the opioid epidemic. In 2019, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody appointed him to serve as Chair Delegate for her Statewide Opioid Working Group, where he worked alongside state leaders, health professionals, and law enforcement partners to identify best practices for reducing opioid misuse, expanding treatment opportunities, and strengthening prevention and enforcement efforts. Sheriff Lemma later continued in this leadership role as Chair Delegate under Attorney General James Uthmeier, helping guide statewide strategies to address the evolving challenges of substance abuse and overdose prevention.

In July 2019, Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis selected Sheriff Lemma to chair a statewide drug abuse prevention panel focused on identifying innovative solutions and best practices to combat substance abuse throughout Florida, particularly among youth.

Sheriff Lemma has also played a prominent leadership role in national law enforcement organizations. He served on the Board of Directors for the Major County Sheriffs of America and was elected President of the organization, serving from 2022 to 2024. The Major County Sheriffs of America represents the largest sheriff’s offices in the United States and works to advance collaboration, innovation, and professional standards in modern policing.

Sheriff Lemma currently serves as President of the Florida Sheriffs Association, the statewide organization representing Florida’s 67 elected sheriffs. In this role, he works closely with sheriffs across the state, legislative leaders, and public safety partners to help shape public safety policy, advance legislative priorities, and strengthen resources for Florida’s law enforcement agencies. His leadership focuses on ensuring that sheriffs have the tools necessary to protect communities, support crime prevention efforts, and address emerging public safety challenges facing the state.

In February 2020, Sheriff Lemma was selected to serve on the President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice, representing sheriffs nationwide on the Business and Community Development Committee. That same year, he was appointed to represent Florida sheriffs as a member of the All Sheriffs’ Authority, a national initiative addressing the impacts of mental health and substance abuse on communities and law enforcement agencies.

In February 2021, Sheriff Lemma joined the board of directors for the Victoria’s Voice Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and preventing substance abuse, particularly among teenagers.

In March 2021, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office opened the Hope & Healing Center in partnership with AdventHealth. This innovative collaboration between health care providers and law enforcement offers clinical support and treatment resources for individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Sheriff Lemma is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in administrative leadership. Sheriff Lemma and his wife, Diana, have two sons, Dylan and Dayne.

Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Florida CFO, Blaise Ingolia.

Wednesday, April 8, 2026

Meet your Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia

Blaise Ingoglia built his reputation by holding government accountable, long before he held public office. Originally from New York, Blaise moved to Spring Hill, Florida, in 1996 with just $1,600 to his name. He soon found success as a mortgage broker and later founded Hartland Homes, a homebuilding company dedicated to helping working families achieve the dream of homeownership.

Ingoglia’s interest in public service was sparked in 2007 when he noticed local governments “going wild” spending property tax dollars. That frustration led him to launch Government Gone Wild, a viral video series and public seminar campaign aimed at exposing government waste and out-of-control spending. His YouTube channel has garnered nearly 8 million views, helping to spark a broader national conversation about fiscal responsibility.

Over time, Blaise became a respected voice for transparency and common-sense governance, serving in the Florida Senate, representing the 11th district, from 2022 to 2025, and the Florida House of Representatives from 2014 to 2022 in the 35th district, as well as chairman of the Republican Party of Florida from 2015 to 2019. But long before that, he was just a homebuilder with a camcorder, a YouTube channel, and a determination to make sure taxpayer dollars were treated with respect.

And yes, fittingly for someone named Blaise, he now serves as Florida’s State Fire Marshal and works every day to support firefighters in their life-saving missions.

CFO Blaise Ingoglia’s top priority is making Florida more affordable, with a focus on lowering property taxes and reducing insurance costs for hardworking families.

Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Congressman Buddy Carter.

Monday, March 30, 2026

Earl L. “Buddy” Carter is an experienced businessman, health care professional and faithful public servant. For over 32 years Buddy owned Carter’s Pharmacy, Inc. where South Georgians trusted him with their most valuable assets: their health, lives and families. While running his business, he learned how to balance a budget and create jobs. He also saw firsthand the devastating impacts of government overregulation which drives his commitment to ensuring that the federal government creates policies to empower business instead of increasing burdens on America’s job creators.

A committed public servant, Buddy previously served as the Mayor of Pooler, Georgia and in the Georgia General Assembly where he used his business experience to make government more efficient and responsive to the people. Buddy is serving his sixth term in the United States House of Representatives and is a member of the House Energy and Commerce (E&C) Committee and the House Budget Committee. As a pharmacist serving in Congress, Buddy is dedicated to working towards a health care system that provides more choices, less costs and better services.

A lifelong resident of the First District, Buddy was born and raised in Port Wentworth, Georgia and is a proud graduate of Young Harris College and the University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Buddy married his college sweetheart, Amy. Buddy and Amy have three sons, three daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren.

Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Wilton Simpson.

Wednesday, March 25, 2026

Wilton Simpson, Florida’s 13th Commissioner of Agriculture, is a fifth-generation Floridian, proud to be born and raised in the Sunshine State. A lifelong Florida farmer and entrepreneur, Commissioner Simpson has deep personal and professional roots grounded in agriculture. For over four decades, he owned and managed a large-scale egg-laying operation that supplied families across the state.

The Commissioner of Agriculture oversees the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. With his background in agriculture, Commissioner Simpson clearly understands the challenges faced by Florida’s farmers. During his first legislative session as Commissioner of Agriculture, Simpson made great strides to support Florida’s farmers, consumers, and those who work each day to protect them. Securing the future of Florida agriculture, prioritizing Florida-grown food, defending second amendment rights, and – most importantly – defining agriculture as a national security issue in Florida were among his top priorities upon taking office.

His legislative service and history of community involvement also positions him to guide the department’s other equally important functions, such as protecting the environment, ensuring the availability, affordability, and safety of our food supply, and advocating for Florida consumers.

From 2012 to 2022, Commissioner Simpson served as a member of the Florida Senate and was elected Senate President for the 2020-2022 term. Serving as Senate President through a world-wide pandemic came with many unique challenges, but Commissioner Simpson fought to keep Florida open and free and to ensure that Florida was a beacon of hope, opportunity, and freedom for generations to come. Throughout his tenure in the Senate, Commissioner Simpson was a staunch advocate for Florida agriculture and our proud farmers and ranchers. Commissioner Simpson was instrumental in securing historic funding for the industry and crucial protections, like the Right to Farm Act and Florida Wildlife Corridor Act.

Commissioner Simpson lives in Pasco County with his wife Kathy. Their son Wilton Jr. and his wife Caroline are practically neighbors, as are Commissioner Simpson’s daughter Lauran, her husband Kenten, and their daughters. Among his many accomplishments, Commissioner Simpson’s most esteemed title is “Papa” to his two beautiful granddaughters, Addy and Emy.

Live, Work, Shop and Play: Guest, Senator Rick Scott.

Tuesday, February 17, 2026

Rick Scott was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018 and is currently serving his second term representing the state of Florida. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Rick Scott served two terms as the 45th Governor of Florida, working every day to turn around Florida’s economy and secure the state’s future as the best place for families and businesses to succeed. Rick Scott grew up in public housing in the Midwest as his adoptive father, a World War II veteran and truck driver, and his mother, a store clerk, struggled to financially support their family. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Ann, Rick Scott joined the Navy, where he served active duty as a radar man aboard the USS Glover. He used the G.I. Bill to attend the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and eventually opened his first business – a donut shop. Rick Scott went on to run the world’s largest healthcare company and continues to fight every day so families across the state can have the same opportunities he had to live the American dream.

Rick Scott knows firsthand that a good paying job is one of the most important things for a family, and following Florida’s economic collapse in 2009, he made the decision to run for governor as a businessman with no political experience. During his term as Governor, he successfully championed more than $10 billion in tax cuts and cut thousands of burdensome regulations that led Florida businesses to create nearly 1.7 million new jobs. Under his leadership, the unemployment rate dropped from 11 percent to 3.3 percent, Florida paid down $10 billion in state debt, and record investments were made in what matters most to Floridians – education, the environment, and public safety.

Rick Scott and his wife, Ann, have been married for 52 years and have two daughters, Allison and Jordan, six grandsons, Auguste, Quinton, Sebastian, Eli, Louie and Jude, and one granddaughter, Zelda Ann.
